Best Cheese Ball Ever!

cheeseball pineapple
Pineapple Pecan Cheese Ball Recipe

2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese (you can use light cream cheese)
2 Cups finely chopped pecans
1 Tbps. finely copped onion
1 8oz can crushed pineapple (drained)
1/4 Cup finely chopped green pepper
1 tsp salt or Lawry’s seasoning
cracked pepper

This recipe was at every family function I can remember. It originally cam from my moms college roommate and best friend, we referred to this as “Betty Cheever’s Cheese Ball”
Betty and her husband were celebrities in our town, she was married to Boston Bruins’ NHL goalie, Gerry Cheevers. When I was younger, I thought they were famous because of her cheese ball. (Note this is different Betty from the Egg and Cheese spread)

The secret ingredient to this recipe I think is the seasoning salt, it tastes very different if just using salt, but also very good!
This party snack was a particular favourite of my dad’s, we made sure to include at family gatherings if he would be there.

I hope you like it as much as our family does!

Directions:
Soften cream cheese to room temperature
Reserve 1 Cup of pecans, set aside
Combine all other ingredients and mix well (I use hand mixer on low)
Divide mixture into two balls, roll each ball in chopped pieces to cover, wrap in saran wrap and chill overnight.
Fantastic served with crackers.

Betty’s Egg and Cheese Spread Recipe

velveeta cheese Egg and Cheese Spread- Delicious!!!!!
All recipes, ad free! No pop-ups either!

Betty’s Egg and Cheese Spread Recipe

1 Pkg Velveeta cheese
1/2 Cup mayo
1/4 Cup relish
1/4 finely chopped onion
2 hard boiled eggs (mashed or chopped)
Can be frozen.

Pretty sure this came right out of the Kraft kitchen.Melt velveeta cheese in double boiler or microwave, if doing in microwave then check every 30 seconds, it melts fast!
Stir in remainder of ingredients.

This was a breakfast or snack that my grandmother would magically pull put of the freezer when we came for weekend visits. They are like a warm hug, especially on Christmas morning or before we headed off to church on Sundays. Their warm gooey deliciousness spread on an English muffin and toasted under the broiler until golden perfection. My grandmother had her toaster oven stationed right on the kitchen table, popping out four at a time, and we kids (and my dad too!) practically raced each other to grab them. It was all fun and games, watching my brother and sister playfully squabble over who gets the next batch!

Try them- they are addictive!

Just Like Lush Bath Bombs DIY Recipe ? Make Your Own Bath Bomb Recipe

diy lush bath bomb

My Small Thoughts DIY Bath Bomb Recipe- Make your own Lush Bath Bombs.
Recipe makes 6-10 bath bombs

Making your own bath bombs at home is a fun and rewarding DIY project. Not only do you get to customize the ingredients to suit your preferences, but you also get to enjoy luxurious baths without breaking the bank. Here’s a simple recipe to get you started:

Please maintain a ratio of 2:1:1 Baking Soda: Corn Starch: Citric Acid. You need at least a 2:1 ratio of baking soda and citric acid to fizz.

DIY Bath Bomb Recipe

2 cups Baking Soda
1 cup Citric Acid
1 cup Corn Starch
1/4 cup oat flour (optional) you can also try using powdered milk for milk bat effect!
1/2 cup Epsom Salts (optional) This makes for a rougher texture appearance on the bath bomb.

1-3 tsp oil (Sweet Almond Oil, coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, argan oil, cocoa butter). I don’t put in too much!
1-2 tsp skin-safe Essential Oils or fragrance oil. I like lavender, lemongrass, ylang-ylang.
( approx 10=20 drops)
1-2 tsp rubbing alcohol (I put in tiny mister)

Use soap dye, food colouring, or mica powder.

Mix dry ingredients. Avoid getting wet with water.
Add oils and coloring to the dry mix and combine until even.
You will have a dry crumbly mixture.

Make Your Own Lush style Bath Bombs

Spray alcohol from a small mister or add a *small* amount of liquid at a time to the bath mob mixture. Pack into your mould (you can buy bath bomb moulds, use muffin tins, silicone mold, etc). And then release when formed. I put on parchment paper and cookie tin to dry/harden- wait at least 24+ hours to use, it may take a while for the bath bomb to dry.

  • Once dry, you can seal the finished bath bombs with shrink wrap or package them in clear glass jars or paper gift bags.
  • For added visual appeal, consider decorating the tops of your bath bombs with dried lavender or rose petals. However, keep in mind that this may create a mess in the bathtub, so you may prefer to keep them plain.

With a little creativity and experimentation with colors and scents, you can create beautiful homemade bath bombs that rival those from luxury brands like LUSH. Enjoy your relaxing baths!
